Directions to Pinnacle Climbing Centre
From Northampton Town Centre:
Follow the Towcester Road alongside Carlsberg past the B&Q superstore and go over the bridge over the river and the canal. At the mini roundabout by the petrol station take a right. Follow Main Road around a sharp right hand bend and then a sharp left hand bend; go about 800 yds and when you see green railings on the right, turn right into the short road which will take you past Keystone Roofing on your right. Follow the road to the end then turn right alongside the canal and you will see The Pinnacle straight in front of you in grey and red cladding.
From M1 Junction 15a:
Heading southeast on the M1, exit at junction 15a and turn left towards M40/Oxford/A43; continue straight on at the first roundabout. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A43 heading towards Northampton/Kettering. At the next roundabout take the 3 rd exit (signposted Ring Road & Hunsbury). Travel 0.5 miles, then turn left down Briar Hill (signposted Rothersthorpe Industrial Estate). Turn right at small roundabout, down short hill; turn left at mini roundabout, and follow road around a sharp right hand bend, and then after 500 yds, when you see green railings, turn left. Follow this little slip road 100 yards, then bear right, alongside the canal. You will see The Pinnacle Centre just in front of you, in our trademark grey and red colours.
From M1 Junction 15:
Heading northwest on the M1, exit at junction 15 and turn right onto the A45 signposted Northampton. Take the second exit off the A45 opposite the Queen Eleanor pub (the Queen Eleanor Interchange), and at the roundabout take the first exit past the fire station. At the next roundabout next to Tesco, take the 4th exit signposted to the Town Centre. Follow the road down the hill, straight over the first mini roundabout to the second mini roundabout at which you should take the first exit. Follow Main Road around a sharp right hand bend and then around a sharp left hand bend. Carry on past the Far Cotton Club and take the first road on the right. Go to the bottom of the road and turn right alongside the canal. You will see the centre at the end with the red bike shelter.
From Oxford:
From Oxford:
Follow the M40 to junction 10 and then take the second exit onto to the A43 signposted Northampton. Follow the signposts towards Northampton until you pass under the M1. After the motorway go straight on at the roundabout. At the next roundabout take the 3 rd exit (signposted Ring Road & Hunsbury). Travel 0.5 miles, then turn left down Briar Hill (signposted Rothersthorpe Industrial Estate). Turn right at small roundabout, down short hill; turn left at mini roundabout, and follow road around a sharp right hand bend, and then after 500 yds, when you see green railings, turn left. From Wellingborough:
From the A46, at the roundabout take the first exit onto A45. Keep following A45 until the Bedford Road West exit (Barnes Meadow Interchange). Take the 3rd exit onto Bedford Road West/A428. Carry straight on through the traffic lights near the car showrooms then turn left at the next set of traffic lights next to the park. Follow the road down across Morrisons roundabout and straight across the traffic lights until you reach the traffic lights on the roundabout next to Carlsberg on St Peter’s Way. Take the first left at the roundabout onto the Towcester Road and go alongside Carlsberg past the B&Q superstore. Go over the bridge over the river and the canal. At the mini roundabout by the petrol station take a right. Follow Main Road around a sharp right hand bend and then a sharp left hand bend; go about 800 yds and when you see green railings on the right, turn right into the short road which will take you past Keystone Roofing on your right. Follow the road to the end then turn right alongside the canal and you will see The Pinnacle straight in front of you in grey and red cladding.
Bus Routes to the Centre:
If you use public transport to get to the centre, or would like to, the number 3 bus runs from Northampton centre to a bus stop conveniently located just 100 metres from the centre!
